An Exterior View of the Chapel

The Chapel

The Bryn Seion Chapel has been sympathetically renovated and brought back to life, offering a contemporary feel. The history has been retained in the design of the Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom, and original features have been preserved.

Staff offer a warm welcome to all guests who want to enjoy food and beverages in a modernised chapel. With underfloor heating, restrooms, Wi-Fi, and on-site parking, guests can enjoy their visit in comfort.

Coffee, brewed from freshly roasted beans by Adam and Russell, and professionally made by trained baristas can be enjoyed, alongside a variety of foods, from breakfasts, to lighter meals, such as jacket potatoes, salads and sandwiches.

Guests will enjoy the local historical attractions, such as the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, that was completed in 1805, by Thomas Telford, which can be found a short walk away from the Pontcysyllte Chapel Tearoom.

For more information on the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, see here.

We hope to you see soon.

Our Reviews

"Excellent tearoom in superb location near the World Heritage Aqueduct in Froncysyllte near Wrecsam. There are both outdoor tables as well as the tastefully restored interior. Wide range of snacks and hot/cold drinks are available. Top notch service and presentation - and quality."

"a real gem of a café, with a great menu and friendly staff. the interior is lovely, and very clean, with beautiful large windows letting in lots of natural light, comfortable seating, a bright and welcoming counter, and various nods to the buildings history as a chapel. the food was excellent and the coffee was very refined, certainly better than major chains. just across from the Aqueduct, it's no more than a moments walk from some stunning scenery, and has plentiful parking."

"This place is amazing. Organised a baby shower to have here, Sally was so helpful with it all from the start, until we held it here today. The afternoon tea was so delicious, especially the cheesecake.
Lovely place and lovely staff. Thank you so much."

"First visit we had tea, coffee and cake. The biggest piece of delicious cake arrived with a pot of tea - it was very nice! We sat and chatted for a while, admiring the character of the building. Note the locally made tiles in the entrance. It was clean and well laid-out.
Second visit - just had THE best sausage bap for my lunch! I recommend to anyone visiting the area."

"Fantastic experience here today!

Came down for a full breakfast and coffee and wow! Enjoyed every last bit.

All produce is fresh and locally sourced.

Sally and the entire team are phenomenal; especially with everything going on. The place is spotless with hand sanitizer offered at the door and menus and tables cleaned after every use.

Service is also remarkable. You really can‘t fault this place at all.

Thanks a lot girls! Will definitely be back x"

"Our first visit this morning, delicious cakes and coffee, served by pleasant and welcoming team.
The breakfasts we saw being served looked very tasty.
The delightful light and airy café is in a converted chapel, and close to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct for walks along the canal.
We will definitely return."
